The activated carbon adsorption unit (also known as the activated carbon filter box) is a commonly used final purification device in industrial waste gas treatment. It is usually connected in series after the cyclone dust collector and the spray tower to perform deep waste gas treatment.

I. Main Box Body

It is made of carbon steel and has undergone anti-corrosion spraying on the surface. This provides a sealed treatment space for the internal activated carbon. Flanges for exhaust gas inlet and outlet will be reserved on both sides.

II. Design of Maintenance Door

1. The front-opening quick-sealing maintenance door, equipped with double handle locks, not only ensures the airtightness of the equipment during operation, but also makes it convenient for later replacement and filling of activated carbon filter materials, making maintenance extremely easy.

III. Core Working Principle

When the exhaust gas passes through the activated carbon layer inside the box, the organic pollutants and odor molecules in it will be adsorbed and retained by the porous structure of the activated carbon, thereby achieving the deodorization, deodorization and deep purification of the exhaust gas.

IV. Logical Compatibility and Integration

1. It is part of a complete waste gas treatment process together with the cyclone dust collector and the spray tower: Cyclone dust collector (removes dust) → Spray tower (removes acidic and alkaline / water-soluble pollutants) → Activated carbon adsorption box (removes organic waste gas / odors). After multiple levels of treatment, the waste gas can be discharged up to standard.

V. Advantages

1. Simple structure, high purification efficiency, stable treatment effect for low-concentration organic waste gas and odors. It is a standard equipment for industries such as painting, printing, and chemical manufacturing.

VI. Notes and Reminders

1. Once the activated carbon adsorption capacity is saturated, it needs to be replaced or regenerated regularly; otherwise, the purification effect will be lost. When treating flammable and explosive gases, fire prevention and explosion-proof designs must also be provided.
